[1st official couple shot – summer 2003]we were 16 and 17 and spending the day together at my house. we’d gone down to the railroad tracks that border farmhome property in search of some pennies we’d put down on the tracks earlier that day for the train to run over and smash! [is that even legal? i don’t know, but it’s fun and we did it a lot.] after a little searching, we found most of our flattened pennies [exciting!] and then a bunch of love vibes must have wooshed over us because suddenly we were sitting in the golf cart [yes, our family golf cart] in the middle of a big time relationship talk… and decided that we should be an official hand-holding, boyfriend girlfriend, high school couple. and that was that. just one breakup, a few graduations, a wedding and a couple of fluffballs later and here we are. so happily ever after!
7 years. is that so long sounding? im glad i was only 16 at the time or else i’d feel majorly old right now.
