we ended up deciding on a low key little celebration for new years 2011.
it really just felt so good to relax this year
so we took some champagne over to farmhome [my family’s home],
dined on some some steaks grilled by grillmaster husband,
caught up with a couple of friends that popped over,
cheered a little as the ball dropped on eastern time
and then toasted to the new year when it dropped again on central time!

this brand new year somehow feels very refreshing
and i have a really good feeling about what’s to come!
i didn’t really think i’d made any official resolutions for this year
but when stevo brought up the subject the other day i managed to rattle off a few.
i just can’t resist a good list of goals:
- do lots of painting, which i haven’t had time for in a while
- spend more time with my pretty horsey boy, casey [he‘s turning 24 next month!]
- be the healthiest that we [including husband in this one] can be, inside and out. stay balanced, find new inspirations, do more yoga, take vitamins, don’t forget to pray, let the little things go, no falling into grumpy slumps. i should probably start getting more sleep at night, but we’ll just have to see about that.
