this past weekend we took a little tripsies up to visit my dad’s side of the family where he grew up in pittsburgh, pa. after 8 years together, husband dearest still had never been up to visit the burgh with us… so earlier this year for v-day, he surprised me by planning this long weekend trip. what a sweetie! i know. and i think that over the 3 days that we were there, he learned quiiite a bit about my genetics. yay.
our weekend highlights included…
big family dinner on mount washington, overlooking the city…

it’s always so wonderful to get some time with the whole family… and all the family fluffs, too. and it was really fun to bring steven along! my dad is one of six children, which gives me every reason to want lots of kids someday. just not soon. [sorry, pap.] and probably not six. but still.
