i ran away for a little bit! i did. i indulged in a spontaneous lake visit
monday evening after some very effective convincing from mary.
and you know, i felt a little guilty running off and leaving husband dearest
on a weekday when i’m supposed to be responsible and such. oh but he said
he didn’t mind, he was working late. i was all like, “eww are you suuure?”
and he said yes, definitely yes. so off i went to mary’s family lake house…
and i’m glad i did! because it was all kinds of fabulous.

so much fun. am i allowed to have this much fun? i don’t know. but i do.
and i made it back home yesterday in time for bonus sunshine followed by late night
storms. i am not a fan of storms, not one bit, but i did have all the right components
for storm safety snuggling: boy, pup, kitty, king size bed. and we all survived, although
our electricity did not fare so well. and that. is my week. so far. not bad. not bad at all!
Looks like an amazing time! I love being on a lake with friends and family. xo.
