our long 4th holiday weekend lakefest involved:
driving to the lake on friday for dinner & chill time,
driving to an entirely different lake for a 3-houseboat party saturday,
going back to first lake house sunday afternoon for fireworks & food,
then driving home monday for homemade ice cream and recovery.
but we had lots of fun, despite all the driving! houseboat party time was spent almost entirely in the water and sunshine, which is an ideal way to spend most days if you ask me. that lake had such sparkly, clear water and never once did my legs get nibbled on by little fishies! and not only that, steven made friends with a baby turtle, which was the cutest thing ever. bonus points for the baby turtle. but of course, as soon as i decided to go in and get my camera for a baby turtle photo, he swam away. i bet he wanted to find his mom. i don’t blame him.
