la-la-la-la-la-la-la life is wonderful

there’s been a lot of delish-iosity in my life lately.
simple, yummy goodness.
and i still can’t believe it’s already august!
i’m not one to complain about the summer heat,
as i realize all too well that summer will be gone before we know it,
but i do get a twinge of excitement when i think about scarves and boots.
still, i’m a summer girl to my core. it makes me feel free.
i prefer my summer personality to my winter personality, really.
my summer hair to my winter hair.
my summer scarves to my winter scarves.
my outdoors to my indoors.
and my barefoot to my bootfoot.
so for now, i’m more than delighted to continue sipping my evening wine
in minimal amounts of clothing layers,
on one porch or another,
and prepare for a fun upcoming weekend
[which includes our neighbs’ yearly fajita fiesta!]
is this only wednesday?
this week is moving slowly to me. it’s one of those.
but life is good and i say it can go whatever speed it wants.
ooh! i just had a pang of thankfulness. love when that happens.
