weekend for the first time in kind of a long time, i think.
i so love my cowboys! there’s just something about them
that really lightens a mood. but when i went to put them on my
feet this time i found that they’ve started coming apart a bit at the sole.
my poor, poor bootsies. i sometimes forget how long i’ve had them.
so i s’pose i’ll just have to take them to the “cobbler.”
[i don’t know if people still call a shoe fixer a cobbler but i want to. i like it.]
i wore them out anyway that night. and we had a great time together.
they’ve been so good to me, these boots.
i love how worn in and faded they are…
due to the fact that they’ve seen quite a lot at this point.
i got them in high school, senior year maybe?
7 years later, they’ve been covered in alabama clay mud
and soaked in floodwaters, stepped on, walked a few miles, trudged
through horse manure and had beer spilled all over them.
i mean, that’s what cowboys are for, right?
except, well, the funny part to me is that although
i’m a girl with horses, ducks and donkeys all over my farmhome life
my cowboy boots… they’re steve madden.
so, good job, steve! you did a really good job.
these boots can handle anything.
i love my cowboys forever, amen.
[ps. when i met my auburn roommate, krista, she had the same boots & loved
them just as much, if not more & we totally bonded over them. thanks, boots!]

You are the hottest little cowgirl, BB! I love those boots! My mom grew up on a ranch (my grandfather raised cattle for a living) and she used to compete in rodeos. Every time I went to visit my grandparents back in Utah, as a child, I would wear my mom's old cowboy boots around town. I just loved them.

Honestly, STEVE MADDEN is the one shoe I never gripe about the price. They make GREAT affordable shoes. I've never had to get rid of a pair yet!!! 🙂
