[some stuff from the weekend…]
1. we had a delightful dinner evening with some lovely ladylumps and husbands.
2. i took a quicky overnight trip to lexington with my mom to see my grandmother, bettye-mom [who has alzheimer’s so it’s always interesting!] and we for sure did not forget to make our favorite pit stop along the way… a small town dairy queen often visted by the local amish peeps. special, right! but unfortunately, we didn’t see any this time.
3. aaand we finally nailed down plans for our spring trip to the old country! italy, heeere we come! what a weight lifted. [thanks to our fairy godmother, aka travel agent. grazie, fairy godmother!] and then we tacked on a bonus trip to my happy place and now my spring is complete before it’s even begun.
i think the spring is going to fly by this year but my restless legs are so ready!
sooo, january, it’s really nothing personal, but when i wake up tomorrow
and you’re gone… i sure won’t be missin’ ya!
but for now… maybe some coffee 🙂
OH I'm soo excited about your trip to Italy, please please let me live it through you! 🙂 Say hello to my old friend Carlo at my old coffee shop, our old butcher Manuele, & Mario at our fav restaurant :):) Seriously can't wait to see the pictures and to hear how you like it! What month are you guys going?? You are Italian, correct? Do you have any relatives still in Italy?
