these things and those things and happy things

1. i still can’t even believe how wonderful this week has been! all the sunshine and cupcakes and talk of baby girls… we are in heaven. [i am, especially, considering the whole pregnant + cupcake scenario.] we are both already so smitten with baby girl. it’s kind of crazy. and thank you so much to everyone who is excited with us! we feel all the love and it’s pretty ridiculously super.

2. in less than one month we will be in italy!! yay, ee-ta-lee! my gosh, this spring is flying by already. and has spring even started yet? i don’t think it has! anyway, we’re doing rome, florence and venice so if anyone has must-eat/must-see/must-shop recommendations, please do share!

3. now that i have like, 90% of my energy back, i should probably pay some attention to my canvases and paint brushes at some point, huh. my art supplies have become so neglected. but it’s funny how much i feel like my body’s been using so much of my creative energy on baby. and that’s okay, i’m happy to share. soak it up, baby, you’ve got many a-coloring book in your future!

4. things that are so great right now: schmidt on new girl, the smell of spring arriving, boo the dog [minnie thinks he’s such a stud], friends that are engaged, target summery wedges that i really must have, the pretty hotels we have booked for our nights in italy, steven getting to feel little baby kicks for the first time, pink chan luu wrap bracelets [but nottt so much the price tag], john steinbeck’s letter on love, having my brother home in nashville for his spring break, seeing my sister’s beautiful black & white photography that she develops herself, tissue pompoms, summer scarves, and lambs. i mean, how cute are lambs!

5. i just looked up the start of spring. it starts in 5 days. so, woohoo!
