…at 1:57 in the afternoon, our new favorite person was born. and i’d say this past month has probably been the fastest month of our whole lives. challenging and brain scattering and fulfilling and snuggly and oh, we have learned so much! like how to do things with one hand and how to use your feet as hands when two hands aren’t enough [which i was already kind of a pro at actually]… and what noises mean hungry or sleepy and what funny colors are acceptable in poopy diaps and why coffee is just kind of irrelevant now.
one month later, i still can’t believe we have our own little person. a brittany steven baby! and i am happier than ever spending every day with my sweet girl. i always wanted to be a mom. i might’ve even majored in momming if i could’ve. [of course, i majored in communications and got married before i was done so i pretty much got an MRS degree, right?] and then, for just a little while, i was absolutely terrified of having kids. but that was silly. and now i’m more sure than ever that i want whole bunch of them, if we should be so fortunate… because this girl…
