i took maddalena on her first little mommy + daughter shopping trip the other day… to where else? tj maxx, of course. it’s very important that she learns to be a smart shopper. and can we just discuss the fact that i went the entire last month without going to a store for any reason at all whatsoever. a month! that’s not to say i didn’t do any online shopping. [ahem, that’s not to say that i did, husband.] anyway. at this phase in my life, i am going through laundry like crazy, and i feel like my closet is just chock full of awkwardly fitting clothing that’s either big enough for a huge belly or too small for nursing boobs. so, it was time for a quickie shopping trip, and i think it’s safe to say m was quite inspired by the whole thing!
that sweet girl peeped out of her cozy wrap with her big ole eyes and just took in the whole retail world. her little koala bear hand held onto the v-neck of my shirt the whole time because she’s really into grabbing things right now and it was pretty cute. then, she fell soundly asleep, all happy and snug in shopping heaven. i was oh so proud of our success. well, i didn’t have that much shopping success, but i had baby success and that’s the best kind. and afterward, she so was happy the whole way home because that’s how a girl feels after a nice shopping trip. welcome to girlhood, my tiny flower! ooooh, this will be such fun for us. wink 😉

my boys just don't appreciate shopping like M obviously does. they do however appreciate hiding in the middle of the clothing racks!
