we had the best time last saturday picking up some lunch and heading to the park for our first little family picnic! the not-summer-not-fall kind of weather was amaaazing over the weekend, so it was hard to find any reason to be indoors. the best is that maddalena is so peaceful when we’re outside. it’s just the sweetest thing to me. i love enjoying nature with her, and i hope she always finds peace that way. so anyway, we took the afternoon to sprawl ourselves out on a picnic blanket and get in some good quality nature snuggling. m made sure to do a lot of standing/walking practice on her little feet that don’t quite straighten out yet… then all that picnicking must’ve worn the baby girl plumb out, because she fell asleep right there as i cuddled her, and then when we got home she crashed for a nice handful of hours. that girl. love that girl. love that husband of mine. love picnicking. and that grilled cheese i devoured. and that chocolate chip cookie. love nature. love it all. that was a good day.

You're all so adorable! I love picnics. In the summer, we had one every Friday at the park, while we watched the free concerts. I can't wait to add a little one to that mix!
