we did a little birthdaying with friends this weekend,
in honor of steven and our friend, tommy.
it was so great getting to celebrate with so many of our favorites,
and miss maddalena got her first peep at a whole bunch of moomoos!
major thank you to jessica and tommy for being
such a lovely hosts at her family’s beautiful farm.
[that spice cake with maple frosting was her doing and gosh, it was so so good.]
we had so much fun, and then at the end of the night,
i had this funny little twinge when i looked around
at all our college friends getting tired at 10:30 pm,
and then looking at my sweet baby
who needed to get settled in at home, herself.
isn’t it funny how things change? we aren’t even old yet!
whenever i get that twinge, i like to say something
like, “hey guys, remember my 21st birthday
when we shot a bb gun inside the house and then
the boys knocked down a door and burned it?”
i don’t know if we actually did shoot the bb gun,
but that’s how i remember that night.
and they just don’t come like that anymore,
do they? probably for the best.
[although, my birthday is next month and you never know!]
What a beautiful farm!
I've noticed that wild nights happen maybe once a year now.. and they take twice as long to recover from.

looks like SUCH a fun weekend! my hubby and i went to baltimore this weekend to visit college friends annnnnnnnnnd we were in bed by 11 every night. and thats how i like it these days 🙂
