life of charmings

love, family, happiness

November 21, 2012 in at home· christmas· holidays· maddalena

a lamb named maddalena and a new york snowglobe

so, i have this happy little christmas snowglobe that has new york inside of it, with the rockefeller christmas tree and santa flying by, and it’s pretty much the best thing. my mommy got it for me one year, due to the fact that in my life i have somehow developed a passionate and undying love for that giant christmas tree. it’s probably just because it’s christmas and it’s giant, but i love that tree, and i get real tears when they light it up. i mean, i’ve never even been to new york [well, besides the airport pitstop on the way to italy, gross.], but meeting that tree is basically my life’s dream. you know. among a bunch of other dreams. so, anyway… on the tee-vee a few days ago, they showed this year’s giant tree being hauled in to rockefeller center, and oh, i got excited. i may have even had a tear come to my eyeball. and then! they said that this year’s tree lighting was to be on the 28th… which. is. my. birthday! so you know what i did? got my snowglobe out, of course… but it wasn’t until yesterday that i remembered that the snowglobe also plays music when you wind it up! and ta-daaa! guess who else fell in love with that snowglobe?

…a tiny girl in a lamb hat, that’s who! and watching her discover things like snowglobes and songs and her own little feet brings me more joy than a thousand billion jillion fafillion giant christmas trees ever could. i love her, and i can’t wait to share the holidays with her.

“i’m in love, i’m in love, and i don’t care who knows it!” -buddy the elf. amen.

i think your sweet baby resembles your husband so much…maybe it's her eyes? she is so lovely. glad you had a bonding moment over a christmas tradition…personally, i'm hoping my little ones will share my passion for 'love, actually'…a girl can hope 😉

Oh my goodness I just stumbled across your blog and I'm hooked. Your daughter is just gorgeous, and funnily we call our sweet girl "our little lamb". I'm dying over the hat. Also I love Christmas and that tree.
