on the day after christmas, little miss maddalena experienced her very first road trip as we headed off to stay for a few days with steven’s family at their vacation house near the beach… and i can say that we all made it there and back in one piece! no permanent trauma! little lady gave us her best… but i can also say that when that girl is done being in her car seat… she is DONE. donesies. and nothing in my bag of tricks can hold her over for too long after the donesies begin. but, i mean, i don’t really blame her. so, anyway. while we were there, we drank coffee, showed m the big, blue ocean [although, she was more enthusiastic about the coffee, but it was getting to be nap time], and indulged in a lot of post-holiday recuperating naps. i never thought i’d say this before becoming a mother, but thank goodness for naps. and double thank goodness for snuggles. and triple thank goodness for coffee!
Were you down in seaside? That is may favorite place in the world. I live about 45 mins from there and try to go down there at least once a month!
She has the most expressive eyes. I love it. Definitely looks like her beautiful Mama! Hope you guys had a good Christmas and New Year's!
