hello, my name is brittany, and i would like to know where my newborn went?!
we are thisclose to 6 months old now and i can’t even handle it. where did the last six months go exactly? i do. not. know! but i am so proud of my little lady who has been dying to be a big girl since the day she was born. except, she would like to be cuddled up with mommy 99% of the time, but that’s exactly how i was, and i’ll be honest, i haven’t changed from that a bit.
anyway. on monday evening, we decided to practice our sits on the floor of maddalena’s room, with a little lamby book to play with, and maddalena did a really great job! i had actually decided to take a photo of her sitting up with my foot secretly helping balance behind her, and i did, but when i took my foot away, she was able to sit there all on her own and play for a good while, and i was absolutely dying of mom-pride.
and then, miss wiggles, she toppled over like she does, and made her cute faces and i was all “omg i love you” picture picture picture. [but this doesn’t last long before she says MOM PICK ME UP NOW PLEASE.]
gah. i just love her.
[although, she hasn’t really done much sitting up like that since then, because basically, she’s decided she’s on to standing now, using mostly my arm strength.]
[and also, that amber teething necklace seemed to help tremendously when we put it on her, and i love it… but the fact that amber does not go with pink is kind of driving me nuts!]
omg she is just so ridiculously adorable! i cant handle it!
and it's hard for me to get over the fact that she is nearly already 6 months!! i can't even imagine how crazy it would be for you!! x
i seriously can not believe how fast the time as flown… i feel like you were still pregnant like yesterday

She is absolutely beautiful. Soon she'll be standing. It's crazy how fast they grow!

and mom pride…seriously, makes my heart burst. he was napping the other day and i heard him cry a bit…which he'll usually do but then go back to sleep, which i thought he did…so i went in there 10 min. later to check and he had somehow flipped to his back and was just laying there chillin, lookin at his hands, haha! i was like giddy! he did it the next day too but i can't get him to replicate it in front of me. i even spied on him today before i got him but he wouldn't do it. he's keeping it sneaky!

Yay for baby M! She looks very into her book and sitting with perfect posture! I'm glad to hear the amber teething necklae is working well for you guys! It's a definite must on my list – but yeah, wish the colors were more pretty with pink. lol.
These photos just warmed my heart. Nothing cuter than a baby "reading" in my opinion. Also, I need to get one of those amber necklaces.
