life of charmings

love, family, happiness

April 2, 2013 in easter· holidays· m's firsts

here comes peter cottontail…

this year, our little miss lady baby got her first visit from the easter bunny, which i was particularly excited about! [my husband may not have been quite as excited, since apparently the easter bunny was not his favorite character growing up. i mean, a giant bunny is pretty creepy, if you think about it.] while i think it’s so important to always remember and teach to our babies that Jesus is the one and only reason for the easter holiday, you have to admit… an easter basket is a pretty fun little cherry on top of the whole incredible gift of salvation ice cream. and i think maddalena had fun digging into hers for the first time! [my old pink basket! what! i’m such a grown up! hurry, someone peter pan me.]

[we churched on saturday evening this year which was nice, since our days have
been a little crazy with teething, and also… 2/3rds of us are not morning people.]

[the fluffies are always happy to help investigate new goodies. i think they were expecting
a little something on their part, though. guess i failed at fluffy easter. sorry, my fluffingtons!]

[gotta have easter coffee, obviously!]

[yay! the easter story in m’s presh new baby bible]

[easter tulips from my mommy & m still toting her fav vintage was–her-mommy’s–bear, even after a basket of fun]

hope everyone had a lovely easter!

and ps. happy april fool’s? i’ve never been much of a prankster because i carry too much guilt 😉

I absolutely adore your Easter outfit. And I love M's little hands reaching in her basket. My pups always expect something for holidays!

Oh how lovely! She got some great and really appropriate gifts. I am not really a believer, but still- I will always teach my future children the reasons why we celebrate Easter and Christmas. xx
