life is moving so fast these days! so fast, i tell you! so, ohhh, just allow me to pause a moment while i reflect on miss maddalena’s 1st birthday… the actual day… a day that had me all over the emotional spectrum, of course, and pret-ty darn sure that my baby is officially one going on 16! i mean… this girl… i can’t even handle all the cute and sassy girly birthday-ness that is maddalena rose turning one.
maddo and i had to stay in from the rain for most of the day, boo, but we played and took photos in the birthday tutu i’d made her and ran a couple of errands… then, once steven was home from work that evening, we open up our second bottle of maddalena wine [i ordered a few bottles before she was born… we opened one on her due date/1 week birthday and decided to also save one to open on her 1st birthday!] and sang happy birthday to the princess lady over a cupcake version of her birthday cake. we gave her some gifties, which included some books and her first official baby doll! and sophie took full advantage of a large gift bag. then, the birthday girl ended the day helping mommy pack for the both of us, because the next day we went off on a very splendid blacation! yay! oh, the life of a one year old. my baby girl. such a little grownup! i love you, maddalena rose!
If she isn't the girliest of all the baby girls I don't know who is…. She is so sweet, Brittany. Seriously. And the picture of her holding the instax of her perfect self KILLS me. So does Sophie in the bag. Cats love present time.
