on friday, maddalena and i met up with some of our sweet friends at the zoo! i could not contain my excitement over this excursion, because when maddalena was born i pretty much wondered right off the bat just how old she’d need to be in order to appreciate a zoo visit. and now!! here we are!!! zoo go-ers! yay! maddalena loves anything involving nature and animals, so it was perfect.
…we saw some pretty birdies and rode the carousel…
…who’s more excited, babies or mommies?!
…but she liked it!! and then we saw elephants…
…and did some dancing!
…then on to giraffes…
…while we were appreciating this younger giraffe’s beauty, the parent giraffes were putting on quite a public display of affection! apparently daddy giraffe has quite a reputation around there…
and then there was more dancing! [m really gets into those tribal beats they play!] and some rock finding! followed by lunch, and then we had some tuckered out zoo babies on our hands, so that was that. but we have so much more to see, and i think the perfect zoo-ing weather is right around the corner! so, i’m thinking we’ll be back soon, because babies and animals make life the most fun, i’m pretty darn sure.
This looks like such a fun trip! We've been meaning to get to the zoo for awhile and now that we're moving away from Nashville, I've got to jump at the chance soon! 🙂 Beautiful pictures – glad you all had such a great time!
