life of charmings

love, family, happiness

December 9, 2013 in holidays· life these days· little latelies

peace on earth! and coziness!

[some cozies lately]

as much as i always initially kiiind of panic over the coming of winter, i have to say, i have really grown to love our little wintertime routine of chilly morning snuggles, holiday tunes, appropriately scented candles and coffee from christmas mugs! first of all, i am such a fan of a good routine. i am. i like a nice, dependable comfort zone. i do not like schedules, however… no no, that’s much too much commitment… but a cozy routine! glory on high!

also, the weather recently has definitely been a backdrop for snuggles and fluffy socks. it’s been the kind of gray that stays the same amount of grayness for the whole day until suddenly it’s 5pm and you had no idea that it wasn’t still noon because it all just looks the same until dark. i mean, it’s like mandatory coziness! [which is kind of not good if you have a whole bunch of errands to accomplish, but thank goodness for online shopping!!] honestly, i don’t usually do too well with such weather, because it’s kiiiiinda gross, let’s be real… but right now i’m finding it to be sort of peaceful! i’ve even been craving some kind of log-cabiny-pine-tree-frosty scene, which is so majorly unlike me! who am i right now?! but anyway, come february, i know i’ll be restless and so o. ver. it. so, i’ll take the peaceful vibes while i can!

ps. i have a huge dream that one day all my christmas shopping will be complete before thanksgiving… oh yes, and this is coming from a girl who has done her share of last-minute christmas eve shopping, for sure! next year, someone please remind me to begin in september!

you are too funny! i agree with routine and not schedule, so me! and i think i could love this wintery weather if it would stop raining 🙁 are y'all getting lots of rain?
And haha, I'm done my shopping. Luckily everyone decided they want to just spoil Scarlett and skip adult gifts, so I was so glad! Now I just have to get my gag gift for chinese Christmas game and I'm set 🙂

love the coziness! but the gray – no thanks. i won't brag about the florida weather we have right now. i almost don't like it though due to the un-holiday-like feeling it has. but the sunshine, i'll take it 🙂

I'm with you on cozy routines. Schedules are too demanding, but routines are just right. And I haven't even started my Xmas shopping yet. Next year, I want to have a list put together and try to buy everything on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Oh well, a goal for next year!

As much as I dislike winter, I have really enjoyed the coziness of it this year. Love the photo of the babe and the kitty looking out the window together!

Best of luck with that Christmas shopping!

I am a routine girl myself. I have to say…winter is still shocking me a bit! I need to take a page from your book.
