life of charmings

love, family, happiness

February 12, 2014 in at home· happiness· little latelies· maddalena· mommyhood· the little things

little latelies with little ladies

1. the toddler happenings around here these days are some of my absolute favorite things to ever witness and be a part of! i never want to forget any of the glorious little details, and i pretty much feel like i laugh all day long. except no… because the flip side of that is the toddler tantrum. and ooh, those happen, too! but hey, life! gotta love it.
2. after going to four different stores last week in search of color ink for my printer and not finding it anywhere, i walked by some of my faaavorite nono goodies at walgreens and decided to go ahead and treat myself… krispy kreme crullers, the things you do to me! i know, i know that sugar is the devil. i preach it and i believe it. but last year i decided i could indulge myself in this particular craving once a year. and this year… i may have upped it to maybe potentially four times. because i mean, dip those puppies in milk and oh. my!
3. slow mornings. kitty cats. iphones. these are a few of our favorite things!
4. maddalena is very particular about her babies, and usually princess and raggedy ann live in the princess cottage in their official designated corners [don’t you dare put them in the wrong spots!], but they have been out and about this week! gettin’ crazyyy.
5. my chipping pink nails and morning “coh-coh!” not to be confused with “cah-cah,” which is casey.
6. little signs of life… thank goodness for succulents! my indoor greenery makes me so happy. i’m ready to see lush green bloomage all over this earth. i mean, i keep wondering why don’t we plant more evergreens around here? wouldn’t that just make way too much sense? such a lovefest in my heart for evergreens lately. and succulents. duh.
7. i finally gave in and got myself a new kindle! yaaay. my last one died before madd was born [but juuust after that one year warranty] and i decided not to replace it at the time… but over the last 18 months i have tried and tried to read regular normal books, but it just doesn’t happen. mostly because actual books are too difficult for me to do solidly one-handed. so! i’ve gone back to my kindling ways. it feels pretty fabulous, and i’ve since been re-reading my favorite book of all time, outlander [which starz is currently filming a tv show of! eee!] [and let me just say, jamie is way hotter and manlier than any edward cullen or peeta mellark or gale could ever dream of being. i mean, oh. m’g.]. and oh, you better believe my cracked iphone and i made sure to purchase the two year super protection warranty to bring this fresh new baby all up in our toddler town!
8. growing. climbing. teething. jumping. giggling. somersaulting. snuggling. singing. chatting. animal loving. she fills our house with so much life, and i am ridiculously thankful! i’m kind of allergic to a quiet home life scenario.
9. i cannot stop making/eating these oaty banana cookies! they are so easy, even a kook like me can whip them up coffeeless at 8:30am!! fact. i did that! stevey loves them, too, so score! except i eat them all before he gets home. sorry, babe. [i do approximately 1 cup of quick oats // 2 bananas // cinnamon + coconut brown sugar or reg brown sugar // some chocolate chips // 350F for 10-15 minutes on a greased cookie sheet!]
10. baby girl just loooves herself a good pair of shoes, and she’s got just the pair of little boots, now, to go trompin’ around with her mama and the “clip clop clip clop”s! and you know how we love our clip clops.

xoxo

That shot of her with the iPhone is too much! Yeah no big thing. Just on my phone. Yawn.

I have never even heard of Outlander I'm sorry to say so after a quick google…. Yes. Now on my wishlist. I agree about the evergreens, although up here they are to be yet again covered in more snow (10+ inches maybe!).

As always – lovely photos! I shouldn't even bother saying it anymore I'm sure you get tired of it! It's what I think with every post. So. Too bad. 😉
