“bit-day! soon!!” maddalena’s been telling us!
“two old!” she says. two old, indeed little princess!
tomorrow we celebrate two whole years of maddalena,
and i. can’t. wait.
my mind has been kind of reeling over the length of two years, lately.
that’s half of high school! half of college!
and it’s sure long enough to go from newborn wiggler
to a little girl dancing, singing, and saying the sweetest things.
“mia happy!” she told me the other day
as we entered the grocery store.
i thought to myself, well i don’t think any words
could possibly delight my heart more.
and then she said “mommy hair pitty!” and that came dangerously close. 😉
i love you, maddalena rose!

and then we’re on to bigger things!

Oh happy soon to be two Madd! And she is such a talker! I'm amazed by the difference between boys and girls. She's such a complimenter too! She knows the way to her mama's heart. Her happiness and mommy's gorgeous hair. 😉
she is totally a talker!! although, not everybody experiences the full talking version of maddalena since she can be so reserved around people she doesn't know very well. but in our home she is chatty cathy these days. it is funny how girls speed right along in some areas, huh! boys are already busy developing their muscles 😉 and you are too SWEET my friend! i think she must be learning to compliment because we are so hopelessly addicted to complimenting her haha!
