so, i totally did not know that this last weekend was going to labor day weekend! not untiiiiiil my own daddy told me over brunch on friday morning… and i was like, “no it isn’t…” and he was like, “…i’m pretty sure it is.” and i was very much like, “?????” because in the high-functioning version of myself, i am a big-picture person and i KNOW things like this in advance, but you know? i think i’m only getting crazier as these years go on! so this brittany here and now was cluuueless. well, kind of. i will say that i had assumed labor day weekend to be following weekend after a conversation i had with my mother months ago about when labor day weekend was going to be, assuming it to be a weekend that we did and do already have plans for, and then i just didn’t follow up with any calender, ever. so, hey! whatevsies!
it seemed to work out okay that we didn’t have any big plans, though, because i just wanted to soak up the last of summer the way i am oh so prone to doing! it was such an absolutely beautiful day that i just really don’t feel like we had quiiite enough of this summer. we got to soak up a little bit of sun, and cheers with our wine outside at the end of it. nothing new, just my favorite things ever with some of my favorite people. what can i say, i like what i like! 🙂

Ah the curls! And swing sleeping! What a rarity! She must have been so wiped from all her sun and swim time. What a fabulous weekend. All in all. Oh and I forget things always. So. I totally would forget what weekend it was. Or not realize it or something.
oh my gosh, she's getting so big!!!! It's been raining here up in BC, actually poring rain right now… not the greatest labor day for sunshine!! Happy to see someone got to soak some sun up 🙂
