life of charmings

love, family, happiness

January 2, 2015 in holidays· new years

happy 2015!!

haaaappy new yeeeaaaar!!
ours started out with a couple sips of prosecco, just barely making it til midnight on my part [but i will ALWAYS make it til midnight! i watched that ball drop, and i saw t-swift’s nyc performance, and wasn’t she freezing?! i was thankful for my blanket!], not quiiiite making it til midnight on anyone else’s part in our house, fresh flowers in every room [madd picked out her own and they are so beautiful! i am proud!], a new years day gathering with friends, some light talk of what we want out of this year, and maybe a handful of unofficial resolutions!

i mean, my resolutions pretty just seem to always come back to, “do more things better,” so, i figure, there it is, right? my new years resolution to last through the ages! and isn’t that like, the biggest challenge ever if what you don’t actually mean is, “drink more coffee!?” because that is not reeeeally what i mean, but that’s definitely what it tends to translate to as the year goes on… which comes back to my other unofficial new years resolution… drink more water. 😉

it feels so good to have flowers brightening up this little house again! i really want to make sure we do things and have things in our lives this year that make us feel vibrant and alive, and i’m just pretty positive that starts with fresh flowers! 🙂

oh, and also, post-holiday sugar detox: totally coming soon. first i had to polish off the sara lee coffee cake my mom snuck in my freezer, naturally. reminds me of my grandmother and gave me dreams of going back to her house!

so anyway, come on 2015! i’m excited for a brand new year, and i think it’s gonna be a good one!

Sounds like the perfect New Years to me! And excellent resolutions by the way! Official and unofficial both.

LOL at "do more things better". I've seen a lot of "do less things" in the blogging world.. I'd love to say I'd commit to that but I've gotta be real with myself.Haha.

Also, I love me some prosecco.

haha well, doing less always sounds nice!! i think i am a beach bum in my heart of hearts, so if i could move to a nice jungle island i think i could maybe pull that off! 😉 but i am always craving more efficiency, and i think that's really what i mean!! and prosecco, ooooh my, yes, always! <3
