these days i feel like i’m fiiinally getting a good start on my very favorite part of baby-prep… nesting!!! i mean, nesting… iiis my jam. pregnant or not. so, now that i’m over halfway through growing bambino the 2nd, i’ve been arranging furniture, hanging baby clothes on tiny hangers, and painting frames and baskets galore. ahhh, best feeling ever!
it’s a little different this time around, too, because i am really trying to make sure and include maddalena in all the preparation. big changes like these are obviously overwhelming to anyone, so i just really want my two-year-old princess lady to feel naturally involved and included all the way leading up to the official introduction to big-sisterhood. and so, we’re pretty much practicing aaall sorts of baby things together with maddalena’s beloved baby doll, baby lucy… who she named, of course, after her best little real-life girlfriend! she’s already such a sentimental little thing. 😉 i love her sweet heart, and i can’t wait to see her as a sister!
anyway, while we already have most everything that a baby could possibly need from when maddalena was born, one *new* thing we have now that i’m reaaally excited to use with baby boy is our 4moms rockaRoo! it’s quite the snazzy contraption which glides front to back from the base, takes up a veryyyy small amount of space, comes armed with five speeds, and even has a cord so you can plug in your mp3 player to play music… time to fill an old iphone full of magical, happiness-inducing lullabies, i think, right! 😉

Not quite a mama yet (not until September at least!), but I'm sure my time will be equally spent between showers and naps!
