christmas heaven at hillenmeyer christmas shop!

this place!! this little christmas market!

while we were in lexington, my mom took us over to hillenmeyer christmas shop… and i seriously had no idea that i was walking into a complete christmas heaven! iiiit was absolutely gorgeous and really, just the bit of christmas cheer i needed.

the shop is beautiful, and you can tell they’ve poured a lot of love into it… along with fresh wreathes and trees and pretty things. i sipped hot cider, maddalena dined on marshmallows, mom and the babes climbed up into santa’s sleigh, we snuggled our fingers in the soft fur of donkeys and sheepies just hanging out in the nativity! it was such a peaceful atmosphere, too, which made it extra enjoyable. if we lived any closer, i’d probably find a reason to escape there just about every other day. 😉

we ended up coming home with fresh pinecones and wreaths and magnolia leaf bundles! although, i’d have crammed the car chock full of christmas delight if i could’ve. so, i say we tack this little visit onto our list of christmas in lexington traditions, for sure!

and ps. that tiny teenager nibbling a marshmallow among the wreaths!! how is my baby lady so grown up already?! seeing how fast three years can go reeeaally makes me want to squeeze maddalena and rocco both extra every second of every day. they are pretty much the very best little things on this whole planet, and i’m so excited to have two babes for santa to spoil this year!
