…somehow maddalena and rocco managed to hit the grocery store for roses and a card for me to wake up to!
…rocco bear thoroughly enjoyed a little avocado lunch. we’re mostly all on an avocado kick around here. soooo good!
…stevey and maddalena visited his mom while rocco escorted me to farm happiness with my mommy. we gave our moms my fav plum pretty sugar robes this year! i’m using the term “we” quite loosely, there, of course. 😉 but i still love mine after like, 6 years, and gave madd a matching one when rocco was born! so i wanted to do them for our moms, too.
…there was poolside lounging. and then there was porching! [the weather. was. FABULOUS.]
…madd girl also made me a homemade card and lavender bath salts with my mom! she put the bath salts in one of the charbonnel et walker truffle boxes that make me absolutely swoon!!! my mom is so good at the little things like that.
…and any day where i get to make requests definitely involves a visit to my casey boy. now that it’s warm and rocco is older, i’m so ready to turn the babies into barn rats! ps. my sister and her sleeeeves. heavenly!
so, mother’s day is kind of a funny day when you have little ones, yes? on one hand, if you let it, it can kind of highlight the unglamorous parts of every day of motherhood. on any day, you might end up with poop on your hands. and someone will inevitably complain about something. 😉 but truly, it’s just a day to make someone who works crazy hard feel appreciated. mission accomplished on my end! and i hope our moms felt loved, too. <3
I'm not sure I "published" yesterday my thank you to Maddalena for the card she made for me. I have put it on my "family" wall of cards, pictures, letters.

ha, aww! exactly. that's motherhood, isn't it! and funny how we wouldn't trade it. 🙂 although, i can't quite say one day i'll miss poo and vom. but i will for sure miss these days!
