one little sunsetty evening over the weekend, my best gals – mom, sis & maddalena – introduced rocco to m’s favorite stump to jump off of! haha! oh, the little things! but isn’t that so perfectly what childhood is about? also, i must mention that that last sis pic is by madd herself because she’s awesome. i sure love my people. 🙂
anyway, for whatever reason, the sunsets at the farm are just so so magical to me!! i know, i’m just a liiiittle bit biased… i am! but each time i get to watch my loved ones dance and leap and play on an earth momentarily turned to pure gold, dusty horse silhouettes in the distance… well, i just want to freeze time. right then. forever and ever.
and oh, the sunsets lately! they’re arriving a bit earlier in the evening… the sun going down in a slightly different spot in the sky. little by little the season is surely changing, and it’s so bittersweet! i mean, i love pumpkin lattes and fuzzy ugg boots [#sobasic ;)], don’t get me wrong… but i’m just never quite ready to let go of summer! these golden, bare-toed evenings have my heart. <3
but time out!! we still actually have 2 whole weeks until summer technically ends! hey hey! party on!! although, i am definitely extra-enjoying my coffee topped with cinnamon this morning! then again, it’s hot and i have swimsuit shopping to do. 😉
oh, i know i juuust quoted this somewhere recently, but it’s my constant mantra these last few years: live in each season as it passes. amen amen amen!
I'm so with you girl. I've been noticing the sunset changes as well and I'm just not quite ready to see summer go! Wahh!!
But, once it does, I'll be happy for fall of course. Cuz, obviously I'm so basic too.
It's so hard to remember we still have two weeks left what with school starting and every store in the world promoting fall. I held off longer than I normally do but yeah I fell for it today.
