[so, i finally found the lilac shade of this top on ebay and ordered it!! and i found one in a deep pink at tjmaxx. yaaaay yay! obsession and thrift departments: fulfilled!]
hi! here’s my confession: i am a cheap clothing shopper. actually, i want to use the word thrifty, because that is my ultimate goal! actually. i really just try to be practical about my shopping. for example… i want to have adorable pajama sets! i want to be that person. but… every time i weigh my priorities, well, i just keep on sleeping in my three pairs of VS pink sweatpants from high school! i mean, i guess that means they were a good investment, right? 😉
anyway, i have learned over the years that it’s not worth it to buy the same crappy product a million times, and i definitely, completely value quality and the “you get what you pay for” factor. so, i feel like when i’m shopping for myself [kids are a different story since they grow and wear out everything in 2 seconds!], i ask myself a few things…
- do i want to keep/wear this forever and ever and ever and ever? [like frye! frye anything is a YES and so worth it.]
- is this a basic product that i can easily find somewhere else? [i so often wait to find things at targét or tjmaxx and if i never do, i wait for a sale price on whatever it is i really want!]
- is this an item i already know i use and love and need more of? [zella leggings, holy cow.]
- OR is this something that i’ve been eyeing forever and ever and YAY it’s finally on sale!!?!
that being said… here’s eeeverything i’m very practically and logically swooning over at the nordstrom sale this week!!
[okay, and yes, i finally gave in and decided to become a cardholder. i kept googling whether or not there was a downside, and basically the internet was like “nah girl, you good.” i get enough at nordstrom a couple of times a year that it’s necessary, i think! these sales sell out so fast, and it’s a maj bummer if you don’t get on it early and snag the things you look at all year long!]

ultimately, this is what went in my cart: the basic high-waisted zellas [especially necessary for post-baby!], the pink high-waisted zella crops [in love!], and the long chunky topshop cardigan! that looked like a definite steal to me. it comes in pink, too, and i was torn.
ALSO! i didn’t scour baby stuff… probably should have. but, i will say that we have this stroller, which we purchased at a discount. [duh.] it was recommended to me by a lotttt of people, converts to a double, and right now it’s on sale! so, i totally recommend. 🙂

[and ps!! if you have trouble shopping on the nordstrom site today, just load up your cart for later!! they should be back to smooth sailing at this point – my order went through! but earlier had problems. you can wait til it’s open to non-cardholders, of course, too… but i’ve done that every year and come up with pretty much nothing every time, which is why i went after it this year! i have needs. haha.]

ha, right?! they’re carrying plentiful amounts of pink and cream, it appears! of course, when you look in my closet, half of it is black… i’m trying to balance out these days!
