these summer days by the pool just never ever fail to make me the happiest! a sunny afternoon watching rocco float around like a happy baby ducky and maddalena do jump after jump into the water is just my very favorite ever. after far too much time spent doing other things lately, we were sooo in need of a poolside recharge last weekend!
and oh, i’m super not ready for such a sweet season to end. but here we are, heading into our final week of official summer! sure, we’ll still have plenty of warm weekends, but our daily pace of life [and level of sanity] is about to change drastically… i can’t even think too hard about it! just block it out and keep on rollin… that’s the trick to life, right?! compartmentalize! 😉

…bumpdate from the weekend: somewhere between 27-28 weeks! officially 28 as of now. also! just for fun… almost 30 weeks poolside with baby maddalena.
…i finally restocked on my favorite basic tanks after wearing mine out completely, and haaallelujah! they’re so great, bump or no bump, summer or winter. i wear these things out!
…a sweet mama i’ve followed along with for years just received heartbreaking news about her beautiful secondborn baby girl. i know many of us know of her and what a terrific mom she is, and i just cant imagine. keeping this family in my prayers, for sure!
…serena williams talking about her mom guilt! i mean, bless her. it doesn’t matter if you are one of the very greatest athletes or… me! haha. the pressure is real. go buy yourself some fresh flowers and take a deep breath, i say!
…still love this flowy fancy swim top i got a few months ago. it’s super cheapo and i just don’t wear the bottoms that came with it. but don’t go doing jumping jacks or umm… you may reveal yourself a bit more than necessary.
anyway! today, we are off to make sure our school uniform scenario is all figured out for next week [little kiddos in uniforms are theee cutest ever!] and then back to summertiming!

You and me both sister. Ah the sun. Just baking in it. I am mourning summer and I still have two weeks left. I know they will go straight from the bus to the pool for a bit now but summer! Don’t leave me!!
