…just look at that happiness! there’s really nothing like fluffy peonies [and fluffy little fluffers!] to brighten your day. as i’ve gone through life, i’ve learned that it’s really the smallest things that offer the most joy… a smile from a stranger, a snuggle with a tiny human, a sweet song on a pretty day… and those grocery store bouquets are worth every penny for that very reason.
anyway, i feel like part of what makes peonies so special is that their beauty is so fleeting! you have such a short time to savor them. even though i’ve planted my own, they bloom here in the spring and then they are looong gone! thank goodness they come back into stores around june, because i’ve been ready for a lovely little reprise.
but… isn’t that just like so many things in life? all the most special little moments… blink and you’ll miss them. aaand this is why i never sleep. 🙂
It’s so true! I hate how fast that flower window is! At least they last awhile in a vase! We take what we can get!
right! and i usually put them in the fridge at night to keep them longer and forgot!!
