my squishy 10 month luca

as of 3 days ago, sweet baby luca is 10! months! old!

and those two extra little leaves in his hands keep reminding me that we only get to do this two more times. he’s an october baby, and pumpkins have been fast filling in store shelves since july! i swear, time goes faster every day, but who better to cruise through it with than the bundle of smiles that is one such delightful luca?!

he’s got a mouth full of 6 little teefies. [with those two bottom side teeth on the way, i believe!] looooves carrots! teethes on actual baby carrots, and inhales the carrot puree. we’ve done a little self-feeding, too. eggs. bananas. those teething rice rusks that get all sticky. he’s 90-somethingth percentile in all areas of growth. now on a second round of amoxicillin for that tick bite. [ugh, but worth it.] after scooching and rolling to get where he wants to go, he finally decided to add crawling as one of this methods. he uses it to get to very important things like cords, dog water, and door stops. he’s also quite determined to stand upright without holding on to anything! he’s decided that the world is his entertainment and he seems to enjoy it a whole lot.

he’s happy. he’s loud. he’s patient. he’s cuddly. he’s just plain wonderful.
