life of charmings

love, family, happiness

December 13, 2019 in our little fam

sure, i do yoga…

…sometimes you have to just laugh at life, right! steven kind of eye rolls at how much i make my own self chuckle, but i’ve just realized that it’s absolutely necessary. it’s a survival skill!

anyway… creature life can feel a little crazy around here, but i really wouldn’t have it any other way. the feat of getting sissy off to school is a daily achievement for us all… and oh, hooow we miss her! i’m sure glad i have my buddies to keep me busy while she’s away. i mean, R in a dragon costume? i melt. i love it so much. baby L on a table? dangerously irresistible! i radiate such joy through each tiny heart attack induced! and yes, i’ve had to finally just hide the chairs because he became a little obsessive about climbing them. and! see also: those dirty paws that are constantly landing on my cute, pink slippers. but wow, those slippers have already held up against the elements of our environment so nicely. color me impressed! [impressed=pink, obviously.] let’s not leave out the kitties who turn the tree lights on in the middle of the night, and minnie, who has taken up permanent residence in our bathroom, coming out mostly to demand food, water, or an outing. she is pretty easy, at this point, though!

oh, but, anyway… let’s just say, this week i’ve not had one drop of yoga. no, it’s been a REAL doozy over here! starting with… oh yes, the baby getting sick with a respiratory deal last… thursday? which he’s still dealing with, poor bunny. and you know, when the baby can’t sleep, the mommy can’t sleep. so, naturally, as i faced nights unable to put him down even for a minute, my beautiful, beloved puppup chose two individual occasions to have some unexpected and questionable accidents in her crate! overnight! twice! per! night! then, the weekend came and things were potentially improving. nope! scratch that! the big kiddos brought home a lovely 24 hour tummy bug, some way some how, that kept them in bed for the following monday. but they bounced back! hooray! woops, then the baby caught it. then the daddy caught that… aaaaaand then bam. it got me, too. i don’t think i’ve been hit that hard maybe ever? but only for a day! and i still made it to carpool! but by the end of that one day, i mean, it was bad. thankfully, steven had gotten sick mere hours before i did, or he’d have been gone on a day trip, and the bigger babes would’ve been eating air and netflix for dinner, i’m sure!! haha! well, anyway. there is our story of strife for the week!

but, heyyy! we’re back! almost. still a little struggle goin on, especially with the poor baby who was given quite the unwanted twofer deal. sorry, baby boy! but tonight we have sissy’s christmas program to look forward to, and then what do you know, another weekend, so soon!

time to get my beloved christmas vibe back in order!

time to finish all the shopping! [santa’s sleigh is aaaalmost loaded, so i hear? but everyone else… eh, not quite there!]

time to send the items for classroom christmas requirements!

time to get out the christmas cards!!! [receiving them has been making me SO HAPPY!!]

time to reschedule minnie’s dental work! haha! she’s soon getting a tooth removed and a little lump by her ear, just… not on the day i have scheduled.

then we shall WRAP!!

honestly, just about every 2 seconds i remember something that i NEED to remember in order to nail all of the details for christmas, and about 2 seconds later i forget it.

also, does anyone else have a delivery guy that leaves packages either by the garage where you will back over them as you pull out [yep, i’ve done that] or right against the front door where you can’t get the door open?! haha. i really love that people leave out goodies for their package deliverers, though, and if i can get my life together, i want to do that!

ps. daily uniform! these slippers are a MUST on chilly days, and beyond affordable right now. let’s just say they’ve already survived dirty paws and um… one cute little bunny’s throw up surprise. all sorts of things, really but still keeping my feetsies warm! // i literally live in these leggings, and have been for years now. my first pair is older than rocco, i think, though i can hardly tell them apart from my newer pairs. // obsessed with these sweatshirts. they are sooo soft, and YES they’re out of control expensive. you just have to find a good deal!!

anyway… oh, guess what else! the tooth fairy came last night! so… i think i’ve earned myself a glass of yoga! 😉

happy cold december weekend before the weekend before christmas!!

You deserve more than one glass of yoga if you ask me. Wow. What a week. And being sick around the holidays is the worst it takes such a chunk out of life and I can’t stand it. Glad everyone is on the mend! And you got this! You can make Christmas happen I have faith! The little details can slide away… the big things are what matter right?
