ohh, the holidays are long gone but warm weather happies are nowhere in sight.
i am more than ready to plop myself by the pool and bask in the hot rays of UV & vitamin D…

…but i can’t. well, i could, but it would be so miz. 33 degress and cloudy. bluh.
so, really, it’s time for a happy little listy.

things to enjoy before the warm weather comes to play:
- hot herbal tea – ohh, tea. super love tea. with my whole heart. always. but once it gets hot outside, it’s just not quite the same to get cozy with a hot drink.
- valentines day – hearts and pink and love are so fun! and it’s okay if you’re single, just buy yourself a nice little gifty.
- home projects – i want to paint our fireplace. reeeeally bad. and for some little crafty ideas, i know just who to call.. my girl martha!
- scarves & uggs – some cold weather favs. i miss them when they’re not so needed. of course, if you’re somewhere like cali you can flip down your uggs and throw on your stylish lightweight scarf. i still do that some, but in the nashville heat it’s really not necessary to wear much of anything at all.. ‘cept for modesty’s sake.
- indoor stuff – who wants to tour a museum or watch dvds when you could be sun basking? exactly. now is the time.
- planning – spring break planning. wedding planning. i actually didn’t get to have a spring break during my wedding planning.. junior year at auburn. so in exchange for one [1] college spring break, i will now take as many regular life spring breaks as i need. yes! my house, my rules.
so there! fabulous things to focus on to get through until happier temperatures.

i miss my coats and scarves when winter is gone! but i'm so ready for sandals and dresses!
i hate the cold..but i love the happy thoughts….but still hate the cold…hmm now I will say 10 things to be happy about:
1. our nightly gchat dates
2. my art classes
3. reading blogs ALL day
4. baking(since i am inside)
5. cleaning(since i am inside)
6. gaining weight and it doesnt matter
7. big sweatshirts(LOVE THEM)
8. staying in the bed…bc i have an excuse..too cold to get out
9. learning to be patient..with waiting for Mr. SUNSHINE!
10. THANKFUL I LIVE SOMEWHERE THAT WILL GET HOT ONEDAY…I hope!
i love this post! and summer… but true, true… winter brings its own loveliness.
I'm okay with winter until after the holidays. It's so bummy. I guess I need to appreciate having soup right now.
