the wilson county fair

we went to the fair! saturday was fair day.
i went with husband + father +brother + boy cousins
on the journey over to wilson county. to the fair. for quite the fairish experience.

we saw some normal fun fair things… like big twirly rides,
historic buildings, pretty horses, and animal babies [i want a baby zebra!]
and then we saw super weird fair things…
liiiike monkeys racing on top of dogs! and umm “the world’s smallest woman.”
[i don’t know if she was really the smallest, but she didn’t look very happy.
it was a little awkward. and sad. we didn’t even visit the mermaid woman because that
would’ve probably just been way awkward and sad.]

oh, fair, you showed us quite a day!
i giggle a little at the thought of you and your monkey jockeys…
i mean, who can resist a good monkey dog race? not us, fair. not us.
