after almost 5 whole months, we’re finally back in our fresh little de-flooded house!
last friday was the big day, and it’s been so nice to get settled in again.
we’ve been moving and hanging and building and buying and celebrating…
and now that it’s all so completely different than it used to be,
we hardly remember what the house was like before!

how crazy to think that we spent two whole years in our housey
before the river decided to swallow it up and give us an involuntary cleansing process,
a summer vacay at farmhome, and a whole new house to play in.
[we’ve had a lot of little blessings, but lets just really hope it doesn’t happen again.]
the baby fluffs are adjusting back, too, and it’s a little funny to watch.
sophie is beyond thrilled to be kitty queen of her own territory again,
while baby minnie is a teensy bit sad and misses having a big full house of animals and people.
they’ve both been good little babies, though, and are being nice to all the new furniture so far.
we love new housey. come visit us! [we are used to a houseful, after all.]

huge fan of that celebration. i only wish we had a week of no work to celebrate.
I read your post about your house being flooded. I can't even imagine how I would feel losing most of my belongings to nasty water….. Did you guys have that kind of insurance? Flood insurance on your house? I'm a renter not a home owner so I have no idea about that stuff! At least your pets and your husband were all safe that's all that matters right!?
