i had the very best birthday yesterday!

husband started my morning with a birthday present [yay!], then we churched and then enjoyed a delicious lunch at le peep with bffs. it was such a pretty day, too. then last night we celebrated with my fam over dinner at farmhome. fyi, my family is super good at birthdays. [see my 2009 space princess party and my dad’s 2010 mad men theme.]

since it is the cupcakiest season of all [and my father has the tendency to call me cupcake], my birthday was all cupcakey! my mommy is so talented. she made me a giant cupcake with little baby cupcakes, and decorated them with her own handmade gum paste roses. [i so wish i’d inherited her knack for pretty cakes! i didn’t. at all.]

as a bonus, zac efron joined us as a surprise guest. he’s apparently been living in baby sisboo’s closet for months! i had no idea, but i was sure glad to see him.


i love my birthday. i love my cupcakes. i love my husband and friends and family. they know me so well.

i always get sad when my birthday is over, so dear husband was sure to remind me that it’s not! tonight we celebrate with steven’s fam and tomorrow night we celebrate with friendypoos. yay! i really could not be a happier 24 year old.
