now that i have a renewed love for material items, [you know, after losing & regaining so many of them due to the floodmonster of 2010] i’ve put together a little compilation of the things in my life that are currently making me a very happy wife girl:
1. tree hut brazilian nut shea body butter – this stuff smells soo good, is super moisturizey, and makes me feel like i’m in a brazilian tree hut! [whatever that is!] i got a little jar for christmas and loved it so much i used up the whole thing. so obviously i was then forced to go buy the big jar.
2. bare minerals natural lip gloss in 7 layer cake – perfect light pink without being too pinky. and it tastes good. and it smells good. and it’s natural! so obsessed.
3. opi nail polish in grand canyon sunset – i’ve been wearing this a whole lot to rid my nails of wintery vibes and be more warm and sunshiney feeling. and then sometimes i add sparkle polish on top. apparently it’s from a 1990 collection. isn’t that crazy? i still miss my shimmery pink cozu-melted in the sun polish. that’s a good one, too.
4. jeffrey campbell unicorn princess heels – i found these heels on modcloth last summer and needed them really really badly! but somehow they were always out of stock. but then my mother managed to track down a pair for me for my birthday. yay! what a woman she is. apparently they have 1 pair in stock right now. [i still like to check from time to time to see if some lucky girl out there has a shot at fancy unicorn feet.] hurry, someone awesome, snatch them up!
5. lost in time capsule cocktail ring – i’d probably never take this ring off if it wasn’t so big. i love it. i’m constantly looking for another big ring that i love as much as i love this one.
6. 80s purple sunglasses – i think i have like 5 pairs of sunnies from 80s purple at this point. it’s too easy. they’re so cute and ridiculously inexpensive. [i throw mine around way too much to have expensive ones. argh.] i’m really excited to wear my new white ones by the pool when it warms up! eeeeee! can’t wait.
7. fleur de lys candle by himalayan trading post – bff april gave me this candle in mistletoe for christmas. i haven’t even burned it yet, it just smells so good on its own! and it doesn’t even matter that it’s mistletoe. it’s so naturey fresh smelling, i totally give it permission to be a year-rounder. and the glass that it’s in is so beautiful, too. i want all of them!
8. amazon kindle – i debated for a long time whether or not i wanted a kindle because i love books so much. real books. but then i decided to go for it for convenience purposes [bday gift from steveypoo, yay!] and i absolutely looove my kindle to the max. it’s so handy. it’s easy to read in bed. fits right in my purse. and guess what else? i still have real books, too! win-win.
9. cupcake vineyards cabernet – just the fact that its name is cupcake made me buy this wine. but now it’s one of my most fav affordable reds! it’s kind of a girlier cab than others, i think. i love it. [the cupcake chardonnay, however, i did not quite love.]
now i think it’s time to crack into some cupcake… or whatever we currently have to pour into my vino glass! happy humpday evening. weekend, here we come! [weekends should probably be on my obsession list, too.]

And the Kindle! My Dad has a kindle too, and a part of me is like, 'Well, I like getting ACTUAL books, instead of electronically'. But then, my Dad pointed out that it's easier to 'carry' lots of books in a Kindle than without it. And then I thought about my big container of books that's really heavy….and I saw his point.
this is an awesome list! i need to buy some new lipglosses, i might have to try that bare minerals one you recommend 🙂 it's such a girly pale pink!
