doing stuff on boats, doing stuff off boats

i think i’ve probably spent more time on boats just lately than i have in my
whole life. and ever since we added being coworkers to being bffs, i’m with mary
even more often than when we were 12 and would have sleepovers at each
others farmhomes and bring our horses with us. which is exactly the reason
why i’ve been on boats. but i love it, of course! no complaints here.

so, this time we weren’t on a boat on a lake, we were downtown last night
on mary’s family’s big boat. so we played downtown with friends for a few good hours,
which was fun, and then spent the night on the boat. and then woke up… on the boat.

and then, when we woke up this morning, people were cma fest-ing outside!
[cma fest is a big thing where people go downtown all week and hear their fav
country musicians and sweat a whole lot because this summer air is on fire.]

we attended a little bit of the fest from backstage, which was nice since it
was so hot. we didn’t have to be packed in a big crowd of sweat. golden!

so we had fun. i love having fun. isn’t that the most duh statement ever?
but it’s true. and i’m lucky enough to have lots of it in my lifey.
and now i need steven to come home because i am all funned-out and i want to snuggle.
