this weekend we shall eat, sleep, drink, be merry & wear ballerina shoes.

recent things in my life that are not justin bieber:

• my body has been unwilling to sleep pretty much ever in the past week… which is fine, since i’d just rather not have to sleep, anyway… but well, i kind of need it! i’m growing delirious here!
• a big spider crawled UNDER my foot early the other morning when i was outside instead of sleeping. i felt him and jumped and squealed and he ran. ew, it was so so so scary. gives me the willies just recalling that moment. spider, you are not my friend.
• my ballerina tom’s came! oh, and i love them love them so majorly. except i know they’re going to get dirty in 2 seconds, so i scotchguarded them… to which my sister stated, “you scotchguard everything.” not true. but kind of. i do like to be prepared. i get it from my dad! [and i use his scotchguard, too, which is probably why he seems to be running low. teehee.]
• in our hotel suite on the lexington trip with my parents last weekend, i had my own thermostat in my room. oh, the glorious little things. i just wish i could always have my own thermostat in life because steven is always hot and i am always cold! i’m literally incapable of sustaining my own body heat.
• i baked my first fall season loaf of pumpkin bread! de-lish. i think it’s probably my favorite bread to bake ever. the house smelled fabulous and it makes for such a happy breakfast. and happy husband, which is super important. [although, i am baffled by the fact that he continues to use only our very sharpest knives to slice the softest bread. must be a boy thing.]
• had a lovely girl dinner with 4 out of our 5 auburn roommate ladies thursday evening at virago! krista is off to dallas with her boy and we are sure going to miss her. but excited for them, too. and we got to say an early happy birthday to our mary ellen, as well!
• steven and i got engaged 4 whole years ago yesterday, which sounds long ago but short at the same time! either way, i am so glad he decided to put a ring on that 20 year old finger. in case you weren’t sure, i really love him. and, um… the addition of justin bieber’s initials just below my bling exactly 4 years later is something i really do not hate one bit. it’s quite beautiful, if you ask me. oh phooey, this was not supposed to be about justin bieber!
