life of charmings

love, family, happiness

October 19, 2011 in farmhome· minnie· story of our lives· the fluffs

i took my fluffy to the train tracks.

there are some very special train tracks that border farmhome.
special, not only because train tracks are awesome, but because
these tracks are where steven and i started dating on june 17, 2003.
[we smashed a bunch of pennies on them that day and still have them!]
and where we got engaged on september 29, 2007.
[we snagged two railroad stakes to commemorate that day and still have those, too!]
so these are pretty much the train tracks of love.

so minnie & i were walking recently and i was like
“hey, minnie, have you ever been up to the train tracks?”
and she was like “no, you never take me over there, silly human!”
and i was like “weird, that’s weird, i wonder why not, let’s go!”
so we went… and then i remembered why not. because you
have to climb up a cliff of giant small rocks, which is already
a bit of a challenge when you aren’t holding a little creature.
but we were determined. so we did it. and we were happy.
i totally feel better now that minnie is in on the love.

then i held minnie and we snuggled while i scooched
down the giant small rock cliff on my tush.
yay, minnie!

the end.

[oh, and no, don’t worry, minnie was not in danger. we even did our engagement photos
on the tracks.
i’m kind of an expert at train detection. just kidding, it’s not hard.]

Kindred spirits! Mr. M & I smashed pennies during our early dating years & gathered nails too. 🙂 there's something so romantic about train tracks!
