confessions of a whateveryouwannacallme

hi, i’m 24 years old, which is something i’m going to casually mention a whooole lot for the next 18 days until my birthday because once i turn the next number then discussion of my age is off the table. for good. because higher numbers, they just aren’t really my thing! [unless we’re talkin dolla billlllls!]
every single time i think about the holidays i get all tingly with excitement and i know i say that just about every day but the anticipation is killing me. in a good way, of course. and i bought a new chunky knit infinity scarf at world market that my life totally revolves around from here on out. it’s not even going to survive all the love i’m going to give it this winter. obsessed. so into the chunky knits. i should probably start knitting again.

i haven’t made time to ride my horseypie at all this fall. what is wrong with me? i miss him a lot!

i stayed up aaaall night long reading the other night, finishing the third and final hunger games book. [loved this series! i didn’t think i would actually love it so much, but it definitely sucked me in.] and when i say all night, i mean steven was literally walking out the door for work as i read the very. last. line. it was crazy. usually reading puts me to sleep, but nope, not on this night. i was so gung-ho to finish and now i’m mildly devastated that it’s all over! and thank goodness i had nowhere to be the next morning.

i. believe. in. coffee.

is there a take-your-wife-to-work day? i think there should be one. i want to go to work with steven and watch him in his work habitat. and distract everybody from being productive.

i’ve kind of been having a mad love affair with etsy lately… not that i wasn’t already in love… but now that i’m a for real etsy-er myself, i can hardly leave it alone. i want to make themed treasuries every night and then browse through other people’s. [these are the ones i’ve made so far!] such a gold mine of beautiful things… people are so cool. also, i’ve totally been doing that instead of pinteresting. sorry, pint.

in a fit of sweater cravings, my mommy-dearest and i went thrifting together yesterday evening and got a whole bunch of super cute sweaters for an absolute steal. such a good feeling! i love treasure hunting like that. some people really don’t like it, but it makes me feel like i found an awesome secret that no one else can have. honestly, if i had the patience and the self-discipline i’d never pay full price for anything. oh, if only.

oh, but on the topic of being thrifty, i recently bought exercise socks at the dollar tree. yes, i did, and it was scary. i was like “who AM i?” and then i texted my brother about it. but you know what? they’re squishy and i like them!! exercise socks are basically disposable anyway, right? [people from the 1800s are turning over in their graves at that sentence because they totally had to “darn” all their socks.]

vampire diaries >> gossip girl. [what happened to you, gossip girl??]

not thrifty: want. want. want.

i keep a list of words i like on my iphone. example: espionage. and i keep list of words i hate on my iphone. example: stipend. ew. if you want to discuss words ever, i’m game.

sometimes when i eat pumpkin pie for breakfast at lunch time, i’m like yessss, i’m a grownup and i can do this if i want! and then i just feel sick. i don’t usually do that. but, well… i did today.

i may or may not know all the words to “oh, canada.” and i may or may not have had my eyeball dreams fulfilled when my two favorite canadians, biebs and buble, twitpic-ed it up together in front of christmas trees last week. oh my g. you know, if ryan gosling had been in that photo, too, the world would have definitely exploded. oh, canada. stop what you do to me, i don’t even know you!

my christmas playlist is 11.5 hours long. which is just not enough, if you ask me.

i think i’m legitimately going to read twilight for the 4th time. i’m a little prone to obsessive behavior. try not to psychologist me. or, i mean, you can if you want.

…these are my confessions and i’m feeling much better now, thank you!
happy wednesday, lovers of the world.

Don't start fretting about your age just yet! I'm 29 and I have been fearing the big 30 which is still a good 8 months away!!!

My Christmas playlist isn't that long either I play lots of oldies in my classroom during december while they create masterpieces!

New header!!! I miss your old one I loved the cursive script…Is your script font hand written by you or is that a font you purchased somewhere?

I confess I haven't read the hunger games series just simply fear of I won't get into the books (futuristic and fighting for survival I dunno seems like it would be hard for me to "enjoy")

Loved this post! You are so cute!

    I love these random thoughts…

Hunger Games. I've heard about these books, i'm just not sure why i'm not reading them yet. I better get on this.

I need to get in to thrifting. Your luck with sweaters inspires me. Especially since I can't afford whole priced clothes.

Conglomerate…best word ever, at least in my sorta limited vocabulary. I should work on this.

Vampire Diaries. I've never watched this show, but I love GG, and if it's better than that then i don't see how I can go wrong. And, since we're on the subject of vampires, i'll just say that I totally get your Twilight OCD tendencies. Too bad the first time I read them it almost ruined my relationship with the fiance. oops.

When I read the hunger games my husband was SOOOO mad at me! I would have my little side lamp on in bed until 2 or 3 in the morning. I loved the series. Once I finished the last book I was devasted. I want more! I can't wait until the movie comes.

Also, I never NEVER pay full price for clothes. I'm a total bargain shopper but my hubby still hates it because he says I have too much. I can't help it. I just cannot get rid of things. You never know when you are going to need it. So I have all my old (probably from middle school) and like one new thing bi-weekly.

I am a thrifty shopper too. There is just no point to pay full price when I can find almost the exact same thing at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross. My favorite Nine West shoes I got at Ross for $15 and they were orginally $45.

Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girls are my favorite shows. They are so good.
