i realized last week that it had been a bit too long since our last snuggle visit.
life gets crazy and we stay busy and time just goes so fast these days,
but sweet casey sits out in his pretty pasture so quietly and patiently
just munching on his grass with his friends and waiting to be loved on,
always hoping for some hay & goodies.
[if only we were both still 11 years old! it was so much easier then.]
so, i paid an afternoon visit to the horseypie and gave his face so many apples.
[although my mom said he’d already gotten a bunch of carrots after his morning pedicure.]
he dozed a little bit with his head on my shoulder [my fav, he’s such a cuddler],
and then i swung up on his back and did my own happy dozing
in the fluffy, soft winter coat he’s already starting to get.
ooooh, i think he’s the best thing ever!
and then, of course, he makes it just so hard to walk away.
he gives me that same “you’re leaving me?” look that minnie
is so good at and it’s almost heartbreaking.
mr. casey, you are my one and only horseylove,
forever and ever, amen.
hopefully i’ll get a chance to ride next week,
but for today, my little horse girl soul is so happy.
and, also, my little scarf girl soul is happy because how much
do i love my new chunky scarf? a lot. a whole lot. i can’t even tell you.
