christmas at opryland

last sunday evening, stevo and i took a little driveypoo over to opryland hotel to see it all done-up and purty for the holidays. i really wanted to go this year because i hadn’t been since i was a youngen. and apparently steven had never been there around the holidays! [this turned into a quiz of “did you do ____ when you were little?” sometimes it’s weird that we grew up in the same place but he didn’t always do the same things that i did growing up, like i just assume.]

the trees outside are apparently decked out in over 2 million lights, so gorgeous, and the inside is really a giant wonderland no matter what time of year. but at christmas it is the most wonderlandy.

this waterfall that you walk behind kind of blew my mind when i was little. i was hoping i’d find it again!

i think i’m going to need to start hanging sparkly lights and hot air balloons from our ceilings immediately! does it get any merrier? i think not. this was the merriest sunday evening christmas date ever ever ever.

I stayed there a few years ago for New Years. It's so magical there, like it's own little world.

It's so dreamy! and just feels like Christmas. We are driving to Atlanta and stopping in Nashville next Thursday…I know where I want to go!

you should've just cropped that gorgeous tree photo and been like, "oh, yeah, this is our family tree this year…we have really high ceilings."
