i can’t even express hooow amazing it felt to be going and doing things this past weekend after the two previous weekends of being sickypants for me and the lady baby!! i started to get some pretty maj cabin fever going after laying low for a week, so from here on out we are all vitamin c and lysol all the time! woohooo party!! no germs allowed! honestly, if i was the slightest bit of a germaphobe before, i am germaphobe central now that i have a baby. but i digress… [i feel like such a proper, functional adult when i use the word digress!]
so, on sunday we got to catch up with some of our sweetest friends, allie and phil, who moved back to nashville this summer [yay!!!] after a few post-college years away. we went to grab some brunch at one of our very favorite brunch places, le peep! and boy, it had been waaaay too long since we’d last been there, but every time we do go i pretty much melt in a puddle of breakfast delight. i mean, i love you, waffle house, but this stuff is made of magic, if you ask me!
also, maddalena is pretty shy around other people a lot of the time, but there’s something about allie that she. just. loves. it is precious! and it’s been like that since maddalena was little tiny and in the peak of her stranger anxiety, but still giddy and giggling at allie and her sweetness! i think that really tells you something about a person. allie is absolutely as kind and sweet as maddalena would have you believe!!

What a fun day! It's no fun being sick so I'm glad you both are feeling better! There's something about being a mom that changes your way about germs and such. I use to never care when people wore their shoes in my house and now I feel so bad when I ask them to take them off. 🙁
