i totally felt like my mother’s day weekend was aaalready made when i walked outside yesterday to find a surprise pink peony blossom on one of my little peony plants. 🙂
i mean, silly as it sounds, they say peonies are persnickety and don’t bloom for a few years after you plant or move them! and it was just last summer i fell in love with some grocery store peonies and planted two, not really expecting them to fare all that well since half the things i plant just wind up dead. then after doing some reading, i changed my mind, dug them back up, put them in pots instead, and then didn’t expect to see blossoms for a handful of years… but looo and behold! i have me a pretty spring flower. and you know i love my flower bloomies!

I want to try peonies from seeds but that may be too ambitious of me! These are gorgeous though, happy mothers day!
Exciting! I am eagerly awaiting my peony blossoms this year! I have a handful of buds ready to pop any day. Oh my, as they were waking up from their winter slumber, I was just excited to see each of my peony plants were still alive, then to see buds form.. I was over the moon! Enjoy your peonies! I LOVE peonies! 😀
