we have had the best best afternoon routine lately involving one little lady and her newfound love of popsicles…
for so long i’ve been excited for days like these! the warm air, the little hands, the drippy popsicles! i had picked up some little popsicle molds at the store last summer that have been patiently awaiting their warm weather destiny… so on one of our recent hot afternoons, i experimentally mixed together some greek yogurt, a banana, and some applesauce thinking thiiiis might be gross? and popped them in the freezer.
ummm hello! delicious! so delicious, in fact, that steven and i have been stealing our share of licks, [the other evening we had this convo: “where’s your popsicle, maddalena?!” “…dada.”] and we’ve made several rounds of popsicles at this point. maddalena loves them, and since her latest growth spurt has turned her into a dramatic afternoon napper [tears every time she wakes up, and increasing nap sleep taking away from the quality of her night sleep… big sigh. i think we’re coming out of it a little though? night sleep gets my vote over long naps any day.], she’s been waking up requesting popsicles on the back porch, in her pink chairs. the girl loves a good routine, and soooo doooo i!
happy to oblige this one, my sparkle queen! can’t even get enough.

Those sunglasses kill me. So much 'tude. Kids and Popsicles and decks are the things summer is made of. We get the V8 Fusion stuff and freeze that. She gobbles it up. I'm talking four pops in a sitting. Who am I to stop her?
I can't even with these poses and her sunglasses and just the entire package is adorable and then some. This girl is just too cute!
