life of charmings

love, family, happiness

June 20, 2014 in farmhome· minnie· summertime· that's life

happiness is…

…a little fluffy on her float! oh, my minnie!

so, i’ll be honest, i’ve had kind of a weeeird little couple of weeks lately! like, week before last, i was in the grocery store with my baby girl for all of maybe 40 minutes… and when we came out… someone had carved a dirty little message into the door of my car!! and right by the door handle, where i would surely see it. now, i don’t want to repeat what the word was, but it was one i sure don’t say out loud! and like, who does that? i was totally freaked out. it was creepy. and i ended up filing a police report in hopes of getting someone to watch the surveillance tapes just to rule out anything possibly super extra creepy [no word on that yet!]… at which point i decided that i think it’s maybe you really don’t become a woman until you file your first police report. haha. not something i picture myself doing too often… but hey, i’m not usually opposed to a good learning experience. but really! it was all pretty weird. just weird.
then! last weekend, which was such a good weekend, i accidentally kicked my foot into one of the pool chairs at the farm… and when i looked down at my throbbing toe… it was crooked! crooked. my ring toe, i guess you could call it, was bent toward my pinky toe! now, i am not too accustomed to seeing parts of my body bent in ways they weren’t meant to bend, so i was yelping out all kinds of words. mostly words like, “my toe is crooked! my toe is crooked!” so then, i flopped myself back onto a pool chair, and as my dad and steven hovered over me, steven popped my toe back into place! so, again. totally weird in the experience department, right? anyway, half my foot is a mess now, and i can’t wear cute shoes, so no one judge me!
but today! well today i got 70 cents a gallon off my gasoline fill-up and then the people at starbucks accidentally gave me a grande iced macchiato, only charging me for a tall drink! and this was after a fabulous playdate with old friends turned mom friends and our little babes, so! i think… i hope… my weird spell has come to a close!
crossing my fingers on that, but even if one more weird thing happens, i guess that’s fine, too, because life is still pretty darn good.

…and just look at my sweet water babies!! i love them so much.
and ps. i have a fun giveaway coming next week! right here! so, yay! seeeeeya then!

Yikes! That so scary that someone would mess up your car and with a derogatory word. I hope they can close the case on who did that. That sounds super painful about your toe. I'm glad the weird spell is over!

That's super scary and not cool about your car! That would have freaked me out. And if my toe was crooked- I for sure would be saying some nasty words! Hoping your mini funk is over!

Yes the car and the toe sound about zero fun and hopefully that is all done for you. Sounds painful as well. Yikes. And! I love those puddle jumper floatie things! It's like a no brainer for them! Suddenly they swim!

When creepy/mean strangers invade your space or things, it feels SO violating. Good for you for filing a police report. You can never be too safe when it comes to stuff like that.

Glad that your weird spell feels like it's over!

omg such a bizarro car experience. people are quite crazy, i've determined. also the toe thing – yep that's the one and only time i've broken something – ran into a darn coffee table.

BUT those photos. that just makes the world go round. the cutest
