tiiiime to celebrate!




we’ve had a whole handful of things to celebrate and cheers to lately!!

liiiike… steven turning the big 3-0! and it looks darn good on him. yaaay!

but oh, even before that, we listed our house for sale and it was under contract within the very first day! the first 12 hours, really. umm, what?!! we were shocked. and thrilled! i promise i’m so not superstitious, but i feel like we’re still totally scared to jinx it. but hey! we’re moving!!! we’re moving and we can. not. wait. [cue paint color purgatory. paint colors! they’re the best and the worst, right? sorry, pinterest! been so obnoxious about it lately!]

aaand! maybe the best thing on this planet… sweet rocco has officially had his first little giggles!! he’s only done it a handful of times, but gosh, it’s the cutest laugh i’ve ever, ever heard. well, aside from his big sister’s, of course. 🙂 baby laughs, i tell you, they’re some of life’s best medicine.

not to mention… it’s been ridiculously gorgeous around here. we had a solid week of 80s and oh, october, that suits me juuust fine! i’m so in love with golden, sunshiney afternoons. especially when enjoyed at the farm… with prosecco in hand!
so, is life crazy or is life crazy?! iiiit’s… totally crazy. it definitely feels crazy. and scattered. and whew!! i think i’ve almost lost my mind at a few certain points… but i’ve tried to remind myself, too, that just going through any regular, normal day is challenging with a three month old. and a toddler! so throw in aaanything else and it’s almost just silly. 🙂 but good!! so good.

also, one thing that’s totally helped me out through our craziness lately is that… okay seriously… i’ve actually been wearing a watch. and telling time on it!! haha. i mean, i love wearing watches because they’re stylish and cute… but embarrassingly enough, i’ve been caught wearing them either upside down or with a dead battery! and i wouldn’t even notice because i’d just cheat and check my phone for the time… but shaaaame on my lazy, numberless brain, because now that i literally always have my hands full of somebody, i cannot just have my iphone in-hand any time i want to keep track of life or it’ll surely end up shattered on the ground. [which has happened to me twice already without babies being involved, sooo…]

anyway, i fell in looove once i discovered jord’s gorgeous wooden watches. they’re truly handcrafted from wood, which is just incredible to me! what a special keepsake, you know? mine’s the maple and rose gold, which jord was sweet enough to send me, and it’s seriously, really beautiful. i can’t stop wearing it! and i’ve actually found myself checking the time on it instead of feeling the pressure to have my phone on me constantly. so freeing! plus, it goes with like, everything i own. 😉 heeey, sparkle shoes! oooh, my undying weakness for pink and light and glisteny… <3

[and don’t eeeven get me started on how much i’m cherishing that teensy instax shot with my baby rocco. that boy has my heart! and that silly camera, it captures the pieces of my soul just how i want it to. and then i get so excited to stick those suckers in my cheapo little pink photo album! :)]

      oooh no!!! i'm the worst blog friend ever! i'm sorry!!!! your cute housey?! i totally didn't know! actually, yeah, the market in nashville is pretty super hot right now, which is why we waited til now to finally jump on it! we've been in our house for 7 years! good luck with everything, lady!!

    Wow I would never in a million years have thought that was wood! It's beautiful of course! I'm the same way with watches and the phones. None of mine even have working batteries anymore and I kind of miss wearing a watch! Rocco looks so big here I can't even with it. YES baby giggles! And moving! And painting!!
