forever young

i spent a solid week and a half willing my little iphone camera to freeze time in its tracks… mostly capturing my babies with casey boy. i am so glad those days and afternoons and evenings were all soooo beautiful! casey was pulled up in the tiny field right in front of the house, which would never have worked long-term for him, but for a bit, it meant we got to spend time with him as soon as we popped out the door. i told him one night, after sneaking off for a peaceful moment in the dark, just how much i wished i could’ve spent the entire last decade walking out my front door to have him standing right there in front of me! gosh… if only!

also, THANK YOU so so much, my friends, for all the love this week!! it helps more than i can say to have so many kind souls, near and far, willing to throw some words of love and support in our direction over here. i know if you’ve been internet or real life friends with me for any amount of time, you already know how much i crazy [borderline obnoxiously :)] adore my casey.

…as have my little ones in the last few years, which has made things additionally tough! how do you handle it with the tiniest hearts!? i have felt so guilty, especially in regards to maddalena! she’s been so in love with him ever since she was a baby. without fail, she has named every toy horse she has some version of casey… pink casey, tiny casey, baby casey. in her recent sadness, she acquired a large “cuddly casey” that now lives in her bed! so, i know she gets it on some level, but still doesn’t quiiite understand. i can’t bring myself to really say things in the boldest terms to a fragile 4 year old, so we continue to tread lightly there.

anyway!!! babies and horses are my happy place, always. and. forever. so, i’ve been sifting through my most recents and they are just all my favs!! apologies in advance, instagram. 🙂 🙂
